Universal tickets?

I would only buy direct. If there is an issue with a third party once you get to the gate you have to call that third party. No discount is worth that kind of hassle to me.

We purchased ours through Undercover Tourist. Had no issues. I'm not sure what issues you'd have with amusement park tickets, as long as you understand what you're purchasing up front.

I will say that for 1 day tickets, they seemed insanely expensive even through UT (about half of what Disney 3 day tickets cost). And though I know that Universal is much loved, we didn't like the experience compared to Disney.

Just as a comparison. Undercover Tourist is 10$ cheaper on a 3 day park to park ticket than Universal Official. Personally, that's not worth it to possibly run into an issue at the gate where your now taking an hour or two of your time on the phone with a third party company.

We've never had a problem with tickets purchased from Undercover Tourist. We're a family of 6, so saving $60 is worth it to us. YMMV.

We saved over $100 for the tickets from undercover tourist and they are the actual paper tickets. I had them mail them and I setup text tracking through usps once I got my tracking number so I knew exactly when they were coming.

Another UT customer here. Absolutely no problems and I love their specials that they sometimes have like a 2 day ticket with an extra day.

Seriously, no offense to you at all, but while in line I literally Despise people who use paper tickets. Its takes forever and holds up the entire line.

You can opt for electronic tickets through UT as well. When we bought ours, they were all electronic. I'm not sure how paper tickets would materially impact wait times, other than if someone did not have them ready to scan at the gate (and I can believe that this happens). I can say that we've had issues with electronic tickets linked to Magic Bands. I strongly dislike paper and electronic tickets are both safer (no paper tickets to lose) and more convenient, but I'm not sure that they're any faster at the gate.

I'm not hating on anybody in particular just stating something that bugs me. Most people have the paper passes and there all folded up on the barcode so scanning is a nightmare. There just clunky and should have their own line.

I don't recall ever hearing of any issues with purchasing tickets from an Autorized Ticket Reseller such as UndercoverTourist.

It doesn't take forever. If that were true, you would still be in that line.

I bought mine on UT and got an extra discount because there was a UT Amex offer. They had an offer back in Oct I think. Tickets worked just fine! FWIW I too have never seen people have issues with those tickets. Never.

Are you talking about the print at home tickets or the regular tickets, which are also some kind of paper? With UT you can get either I believe. We have had both kinds, no issue with either of them. If I am holding up the line it is because of the finger scanner. I have no finger prints and it never ever ever works for me. I tell them that when I go up, they make me try again and again and again until they finally ask to see my ID and let me in.

I meant a full sheet of paper printed out. Finger prints aren't an issue, I could care less about that. Its the person who pulls out 12 crumpled up paper tickets and try to get those to scan.

Honestly, though i cant stop wondering... do you not have finger prints period or they just don't scan well? This is legit a serious question.

I never thought about that, but your right. If Kaytieeldr has never heard of it must not be possible then. My apologies.

You might want to call out gottalovepluto, too, then. Following that, read what we each wrote again. Neither of us claim it's never happened, but that we've never heard of any such issues with tickets from Authorized Ticket Resellers. And you might want to cut back on the sarcasm.

Dh has the same problem. It happens any place fingerprints are needed: WDW, Universal, our safe at home. He's a welder and very rough work with his hands so he assumes that's the issue, maybe his fp appears different every time.
We've bought from UCT many many times for Disney and Universal and never had a ticket problem. I'd gladly take a $40+ discount each trip. Free lunch! :thumbsup2
I don't despise anyone. Well, maybe a former manager who was so evil. We were certain she had horns and filed them down before coming to work. ::yes::
