I will be heading to Disney for 9 days in September and was wondering if I buy a three day pass to Universal, do the tickets expire if I don't use them? I was hoping to use two days this trip and then the other day next year.

You shopuld check into buying an annual pass. The one with a few blackout dates is about $119 the last time I checked. We have been doing this since before we moved to FLorida if we knew that we would be returning within the year or was visiting more than 2 or 3 days. Check universalorlando.com.

YES!!!! I just shelled out 300 dollars over the weekend that I didn't plan on because I had 7 expired tickets. This is how I understand it now - but you have to check yourself to be sure. If you buy a two day/two park ticket without the third day free - your second day does not expire. If you buy the same ticket with the third day free - all days expire 7 days after your first use.

The 2 and 3 day passes, also known as Universal Escape passes, should not expire. They are like Park hoppers, allowing you to hop from both parks to another without using another day. The only way the 2 day expires is if you purchase the 3rd day free option (which I felt strongarmed to do when I went to claim my 2 day ticket with the voucher Id gotten through a ticketbroker). IF you DO get the third day free then the whole ticket does expire after 7 days.

I have had both, check when you buy the ticket.

I have 1 day left on a ticket I bought 3 years ago, never expires, will save for future visit.

Last week I bought a 2 day ticket with 3rd free, which expired after 6 days of first use. We used all 3 last week.
