Hi, I'm in the UK and finally taking my family to Disney and Universal next Summer. Does anyone know of the cheapest way to do a park hopper for Universal and Islands of Adventure (3 days preferably but will consider 2) rather than the typical 14 day ticket that's available from the UK. We want no more than 3 days as spending the majority of our time at Disney staying on resort and the 14 day ticket is £335 per person :o

Thanks :)

Universal sometimes does a buy two days get one or two free. That deal may be cheaper than your 14 day tickets. But you may find that price of your 14 day tickets to be the cheapest. As you are just planning for next year, prices will be easier to compare the closer you are to your trip.

One advantage to the “buy 2 get 3 free” promotion is that even if you don’t plan on using more than 2 or 3 days, it also extends your use window out to 8 days - so you can easily pick the least expensive day of the week as your “starting” date. Just make sure the final day of the use window covers the final day you plan on going to the parks. (You don’t have to be at the parks on your “starting” date - that just determines how long your use window is.)

Just by starting on a Tuesday for our October trip, with plans to go on Sunday/Monday only, we saved $30 per ticket. In the summer, the savings may not be as large.

I'm in the same boat as you @gem2010 - coming from the UK and don't want to buy the very expensive 14 day ticket. I ended up buying the "buy 2 days get 3 free" offer that @WAstateDVCDaddy mentions above mainly because you get 8 days to use up all (or some) of your visits.

However note that to buy this ticket from the UK, you'll need to use a VPN and tell it that you're based in the US (or anywhere that's not the UK basically). If you don't, as soon as you click on the tickets link on the Universal website, it'll re-direct you to the UK pages where you can only buy the 14 day ticket. There's no restrictions on buying this type of ticket outside the US, it's just that the website thinks it knows better and tries to force you to the local version of the page which doesn't have the offer.
