Hello,

Other than Lyft and Uber, which I will not use, what's the best way to get from one of the Universal Studios hotels to Port Canaveral for a DCL cruise? It'll just be two adults, so we don't have to worry about car seats or anything like that.

Thanks!

Hubby and I did this exact thing in January. Hear me out. Take a taxi back to MCO early on embarkation day (arrive before 8 am so you're among 1st to arrive) and use DCL bus. We got boarding group 3 at on-line check-in (they actually changed our BG to 1 on arrival to port). We had priced Uber and LYFT and the price was around the same for 2 people and we thought it was worth it for the convenience and early boarding. Let me know if you want more info.

Mears Taxi
Mears wants $227 to take two people from US to PC! That's crazy.

I wonder if I can take the US bus back to MCO early enough. They usually want a flight number, but I can just find some plausible flight and give them that number. I'm sure that they aren't going to check into it. Two buses and an airport isn't ideal, but it's a lot cheaper than Mears!

I'll look into the other companies, too. Thanks, everyone, for the ideas!

What cc status do you have for being able to obtain bg 3?
I thought the earliest bus from MCO was at 10 am?
Also why would you have earlier boarding taking a bus from MCO over Uber or Lyft? Didn’t Disney stop this advantage?
I might do something similar soon as WDW hotels are ridiculously priced, but it’s just me, so a Disney bus will be cheapest.

We are Silver and got BG 3 because we used DCL transfer. That is why I'm recommending doing it. It was so worth it to board the ship early.

Check-in started at 8:30 but people gathered before 8. The bus did leave around 10 but we were checked in all the way to the ship and ready to go when they boarded the first bus

Odd, there have been so many posts about DCL only giving early boarding to people on Disney transfers from a WDW hotel or Hyatt at MCO. Not MCO itself. Perhaps they changed it?

Not sure. All of us at the airport on 1/18 had BG 3. And when we arrived at PC they changed us to 1.
