universal studios - refurbishments

Does anyone know where I can find out what rides are closed for refurbishment at Universal studios?

Was at Universal Studios Hollywood this past Saturday. Had a sign saying "The Mummy" was closed... but when we got down to the bottom lot, it was opened. The wait, however, was 70 minutes.

70 minutes--I bet there were a lot of disappointed people walking off the ride, saying we waited 70 minutes for that? The one time I rode it I went through the single rider line and walked right on and I still thought I waited too long for it. Very disappointing ride. The ride is too short, the roller coaster doesn't do anything other than just go fowards and backwards (ie, no drops, inversions, hills, nothing but sloloming a bit going backwards), and there aren't any special effects that aren't done better on DL's Indy ride.

I loved the Mummy ride! But then we had FOTL passes and rode it several times. Indy is totally different, not a coaster and really you can't compare the two. I do love Indy as well though.

We went on the Mummy ride in Orlando in May this year and it was brilliant, fast and exhilarating, launched hill into a drop and then loads of sharp drops and turns, sounds like this one is completely different then?

I was just in Universal in CA. I thought the Mummy ride sucked and had horribly uncomfortable seats. We were lucky we didn't wait too long in line as the ride had just opened when we went on. According to a park employee the ride shuts down a lot and they have a hard time getting it going in the mornings, so it's usually closed early in the day.No wonder they have a rediculous list of warnings before you get on the ride!!
