Universal Studios Preferred Annual Pass (Buy one year, get 2nd year free)

With electronic pick up I think it means you go to the machines outside the entrances of Universal, enter your credit card details, order number etc and it prints out a voucher for you to take to Customer Relations so you can have your photo done etc :sunny:

We did this last year :thumbsup2

Which method of payment/delivery has everyone gone for??
It says electronic pick-up free, what is this??
Which is the best option?

We paid $20 for the International delivery and the tickets were with me within 4 days :)

Hope people don't have a problem with these but now they are stating these are for Florida residents only link

There is a thread on the Universal Studios board http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1116383 with a similar discussion. I bought the passes some weeks ago and asked for electronic pick-up. We did this last time and it was fine. As Universal are posting the passes to people in the UK and other USA states they can't say that they thought we were all Florida residents.

Before I ordered my passes I was very careful to check all the conditions on the site at that time to make sure they were not restricted to USA residents and there was no mention of them being for Florida residents or needing to show a receipt. I know this has now been changed but I expect it is because so many people have bought them.

As customer service is so important in the USA I can't see them refusing to honour the passes after they have been paid for. That said, I wouldn't order them now since they have added the additional conditions restricting sales to Florida residents.

I will be staying at Universal's Royal Pacific resort from 17th to 20th August (using APH rate) :Pinkbounc and will activate them then, so I will let you know how I get on when I get back.

this is a great thread!

Snowhite7 - if you don't mind me asking, what was your AP rate for the room?

I just got back this morning and had a fantastic time. My AP room rate was $129 for Friday night, $159 for Saturday and Sunday nights. If you want to see what the rate would be on a specific date enter the code APH on the web site when getting a quote.

I had no problems picking up our passes. I had opted for the electronic pick up but we changed our Virgin Mastercard to the new Virgin American Express after I paid for the tickets so had to go to the 'Will Call' desk. I gave them my receipt and my passport and they didn't even mention the Beals receipt or the fact that I lived in the UK. They were really friendly and helpful. :goodvibes

We picked up our 'Bealls' AP's two weeks ago. We had our admission tickets sent to us in the UK, and once we were through the gates (at US) we went straight to Guest Services where we had our photos taken and we were given our AP's. It all took about 10 minutes and they didn't ask to see a Bealls receipt - I hope that helps

Mandy :)
