Universal Studios Preferred Annual Pass (Buy one year, get 2nd year free)

I am staying onsite at Universal in August but I understood you had to pay to park at the resorts there? I will be very happy if this is not the case. Can anyone confirm?

It is $10 a day to park at any of the Universal hotels, that's for self parking - valet is $17.

That's what I thought Johnny, thank you. I think I misinterpreted Amyrlin's post.

Yes you have to pay to park at the resoprt, and the AP does not give you free parking there. As we will leave the car at the rsesort the free parking at the park has no vlaue for us, but it will for others not staying onsite.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Woohoo !! The Tickets Have Come :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

How exciting !! I only ordered these on Sunday and they arrived today ~ Thanks Universal that's great service (and my Amex hasn't even been charged yet ~ LOL) :)

Great service Mandy, no doubt you will have your picture taken when you get there and get the posh plastic passes like we have :thumbsup2

If you are at Universal and hear a boy screaming it will be Josh on Woody's coaster!

I can't believe it! We bought 4 passes online on Tuesday and they arrived via FedEx lunchtime today! :woohoo: That is brilliant service - can't wait to use 'em... :thumbsup2

Well when I read the first post last week, I was really sad, as I had purchased my annual pass only the day before, so didn't get the offer of buy one year get one free.

Anyway, I thought, this is America you are dealing with, great customer service and all that. So I got on the phone to Universal. I was advised to buy the new deal on line and then phone back with both pass numbers. They could then cancel my first pass, and refund my card. I would still have to pay $20 postage though.

I did this, and whoppee, when I phoned up, as promised, they refunded my credit card for the first pass. Not a problem at all. How fantastic is that. That wouldn't have happened here in the UK, it would have been tough luck.

So if anyone has an annual pass out there that hasn't been activated, get on the phone to universal and see if they will do the same for you.

Our tickets arrived last week :)
Mandy where on the Universal website does it say that they accept Amex as I couldn't find it and had to use my Visa to order ours. Would of loved to have used the Amex though.

D'oh Michelle, I've just checked and I paid with my Mastercard (no wonder my Amex hasn't been charged) :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Which method of payment/delivery has everyone gone for??
It says electronic pick-up free, what is this??
Which is the best option?

This sounds like a fabulous deal! Please can someone tell me if we buy these passes is it still ok to buy an express pass plus on top and use that too? I'm presuming this will be ok as you always buy the express pass plus as a seperate ticket anyway right? Thanks everyone
Also we leave on Thursday so i can't have them sent to us here in the U.K. has anyone done this pick up at the gate thing? I'm sure it's fine but i'm always a little nervous about things LOL.

You can buy Express Passes too yes.

We bought our APs from the gate last March, we just renewed them over the phone, so yes you will buy before you enter the park and then once you are in you will be issued with your passes after having your photos taken.

Cool thanks! I've just bought ours online and gonna pick them up at the gate via the electronic ticket machienes. This is why this board is so great! Thanks for sharing this great offer!

Are we all 100% a valid Beals reciept does not have to be produced?
Sorry, i'm paranoid. :)
Edit- I just phoned Universal Annual Pass customer services at 1st the guy said yes you need to produce it when you pick your tickets up :faint: Then, after i said ''oh dear i think i've lost my reciept'' he said oh you already have purchased your tickets online? i said yes and he said no that's ok then you do not have to show it again as long as you have put your code in   phew! LOL

You won't need the Beall's receipt if you order online. Don't worry.
