We as a family were in Universal Hollywood in 2001. What about Universal FL should make us want to go there for one day during our WDW trip? We're trying to decide where to spend one day of our 5 days in Orlando. Is Universal Orlando that much different than Hollywood? Or should we look into something else for that day? Seaworld or something else. IOA is out since we're not big roller coaster fans.

BTW, my dh and I are traveling w/o kids, who are both away at college, next Nov ('05).

I have never been to US Hollywood, But I would recommend USF or Seaworld, I love them both!

I've been to both USH and USF and they are only mildly similar. I like USH but except for the studio tour tram ride, it has nothing to compare with Universal Orlando. Even our Mummy ride here is far superior. If you want to see SeaWorld, catch it in San Diego. The Sea World in SD is better than the one here in Orlando.

We've been to both within the last year. Universal Orlando has many more attractions and is easier to navigate. I did enjoy the tram trip in Hollywood but once you've done it once, that is enough. Hollywood needs a MIB and a few coasters. Their Shrek attraction has a larger theatre, their Jurassic Park River Adventure is better and their Mummy ride is different. They have Backdraft instead of Earthquake but it is very similar.

There is a lot more to IOA than coasters.

We were at both within the last year and both have their neat things but you have so much to do at orlando at the movies park it is worth a day. We will be going to see the Macy parade on the 10th. Hope you decide to make it a day its worth it.

Thanks. I enjoyed the tram at Universal Hollywood too. We had our two sons with us then and they enjoyed it. Gotta love the escalators up and down the "mountains" of LA. That was the worst part of the park. We've got a few months to make up our minds, but I appreciate the input.
