Has anyone seen any Universal Studio (Orlando) ticket deals?

I've seen the Coke Rewards, but I don't participate. :sad2:

My local AAA has 1 day-2park ticket for $115.

I've also seen something about faxing in for free tickets, but couldn't really see any information about it, so I assume, whatever promotion that was is over.

I've been searching to see if my sister (who coming on her first trip!) has any teacher discounts, but I don't see anything so far.

Thanks!!!! :goodvibes

Because of the popularity of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal hasn't been having as many deals as they use to.

Travelzoo currently has a deal on 4 day tickets: $135 instead of $160

You might want to check www.mapleleaftickets.com every once in awhile. I don't think they have anything going on right know but I was able to get 7 park-to-park tickets for $131 a couple of months ago.

a small discount can always be had through Mousesavers/undercovertourist.

Thank you!!! :goodvibes

I'll check all those places. There's a Universal board on DIS too :thumbsup2 that I'm going to read up on the park.

Some Costco's have tickets for 135.00 too, they are 3 day tickets, hoppers and they can be used anytime in the next 3 years I believe?

Hmm, wonder if my Costco does? Definitely worth it to check it out. :thumbsup2

Do you mean that you can use one day per year that way? That might be worth checking into if that is the case.

I know you also homeschool, and I just saw that you can get a 1 day homeschool pass for $50 but it has to be online ordering, like the homeschool Disney passes.

I have been wondering too.

I haven't found anything we can afford at the present time though.

My kids are ONLY interested in Harry Potter and don't care at all about anything else in the parks. There is no way I am paying that just just for one section of the parks!

The Costco deal...I figured it seemed to be the best since I'm going back in December and probably will check out Universal again.

It says on the ticket:

"This ticket is valid for both Universal and Islands for the length of this ticket.

Valid any 3 days until 12/31/2013

3day + PTP Exp 12/31/13 - Access to both parks per day-CW Incl"

PTP is park to park, but no idea what CW means?

On the front, a guest first & last name is required, along with signature and photo ID. A counter-signature is required on each visit. Must be used by same person on all days.

This cost a total of $139.99, so I thought it was a good deal, considering a 1 day, park to park ticket at AAA was $115.

However, not all Costcos have it. I had to go to 2 different Costco. The first one said they don't have tickets at all, looked it up in their computer and said another Costco had it. After I questioned them and asked them to check, of course.

I went to the second Costco, only to be told they don't have any and the first store was supposed to call them. Then I was getting annoyed, then suddenly they had 3, then they had a whole bunch. :confused3 geesh. I only needed 1! :cool1:

That Travel Zoo offer says they add $10.77 (taxes and fees) to the price of each ticket, so $145.

Undercover Tourist - thru the Mousesavers newsletter link - has tickets for just under $142, taxes & shipping included. Not much difference, I mostly wanted to point out that $10 charge on TravelZoo. Not sure if Travelzoo charges for shipping as well?

My kids are Disney fans first and foremost (although DD11 is slowly turning to the dark side :rotfl2:), but even my DD7 found plenty to keep her very happy at Universal. Seuss Landing is worth the price of admission all by itself. :thumbsup2

The WWOHP was definitely worth the trip on its own, but we all found a lot more to like.

We found the best prices to be online at Universal studios. We went in August and WWOHP was awesome, but be ready to stand in line for hours to get in! We got lucky and it rained and apparently people do not like to stand in line in the rain!!!

WOW....I'm going to check out that Homeschooling link. Thank you so much for that!

ETA: Well crud....it's only for FPEA members (Florida Parent Education Association). I'm in Georgia and not a member of any of the cover schools in Florida to sign up for this offer. Man....what a bummer. My husband and oldest son get to go this year because I purchased HHN tickets before our tickets. Then our budget took a nose dive and I couldn't find discounts anywhere on tickets for the rest of us (5 more) so we decided we wouldn't be going to Universal this year. The HHN tickets are non refundable so my husband and oldest son are still going....I was hoping that this Homeschooling deal would be what we'd need to make it happen. Oh well, GREAT deal for Florida Homeschool families....hope someone can use it.

MyMuse: I see you are from N NJ, can you tell me which Costco you found the tickets? I am close to both E Hanover and Rockaway stores. Could save me some leg work as we are leaving in 2 weeks. Thanks!!

They were at the Wayne, NJ location. :goodvibes

took awhile for the front desk to find them though, but they said they have lots!!

Thanks for the tip. We may be going to Orlando for a dance competition and we have not been to universal in about 7 years (but Disney 3 times in that time frame) so DD wanted to add an extra day or two to go to Universal.
