lol...sorry...I am quite bored at the moment and am always awaiting replies to threads I am "subscribed" to. People don't post often enough on this board! lol. :)

So...post anything and everything about Universal Studios here...would love to "chat" with someone about the park.

Post away!!

please :)

Ok, I'll bite. I've got a question for you Clare. From the different posts that I have read I get the idea that you are still in school. I have asked this question a couple of times and never seem to get much response. So here goes. When is your Spring Break for next year?
Julie:Pinkbounc

My Spring Break is March 29 through April 5. :)

PS - I'm going to rename this board to Universal Studios Message Board "Chat" and see if more people come...if not...oh well :(

Can't Stay long, but I was there on Thursday August 7. Did you see a guy with a kilt and construction boots.

hmm...don't think I did...I think I'd remember that if I did :teeth: But I spent like most of the time running around or showing my cousin around (since she had never been to a theme park before).

To bad. Great trip reports and thanx fort the tip on checking in early. Never got to see ghostbusters show. My Daughter didn't like shows just rides. Do enjoy the movie must have saw it 100 times.

how old is your daughter? Even if she is mor into the rides she'll have to see this show. It's only 12 minutes long...not too bad for a show. :)

And thanks :)

I'm glad to hear that. Our Spring Break is April 5 through the 9th. We will be doing Disney/US/ IOA, the 3rd through the 10th. I was hoping that not everyone's Spring Break was the same as my kids.
Any idea's on which week is usually busier? The week before or after Easter?
Julie :bounce:

She's 11, First time she braved JP. Tried to get her to watch the Blues Brothers, Nope wanted to ride. on Thursday she dragged me to USF at 8:30 AM, IOA, 11:00 AM, back to USF 2:00 PM, back to IOA by 6:00 PM, and we finally left at 8:20 PM. Needless to say the Oldman could not move the next day

My guess is before Easter would be busier...but that's only a guess. It's so hard to know.

when is Easter this year BTW?? Usually I get a mini break seperate from Spring Break for the Easter weekend. But not this year :( I guess they planned it where Spring Break is too close to Easter so no mini break.

Dangit!

I thought I read somewhere that there are no seats for the Ghostbusters Show. Is that true? If it is, then does everyone just stand? Is the stage elevated enough for everyone to be able to see ok?

Hmm...she should like the Ghostbusters Show...even if she is too young to like it for "cute guys" (and if that is true, I'm sure you are glad...lol) but she'd like the show itself.

To be honest, I never wanted to see the Blues Brothers show either..didn't sound interesting...if a show sounded the least bit interesting I would consider seeng it.

Tell your daughter that I recommend her seeing this show. It's short so she won't miss much time from rides, but at the same time it's quite funny. :)

Easter Sunday is April 11th this year. We'll be leaving to fly home from Orlando on the 10th. I suspect the crowds are going to be really bad when we go, but I'm trying to learn all that I can to optimize our time while we are there.
We will be staying at Orange Lake Country Club? Know anything about it?

yep. :( No seats whatsoever. HOWEVER, there are sidewalks in front of the stage where people sit and during some shows people just sit on the black pavement (I do). I hate it when people stand. Most do because they think they'd end up going inside some building and then the show is over before they realize they don't.

I always carry a yellow seat cushion with me. Helps a lot. Since it's light weight I don't mind too much. Maybe if you bring a towel or something to sit on. I used to bring a windbreaker (even on HOT days...but that seems "weird").

If you want to know about the best viewing area, message me. I'll tell you where "my spot" is but please don't share...lol...I don't need to compete with more people for it. If you read my fake news article you'll know I WOULD go crazy if I didn't get "my spot" lol. :)

Oh, there are two benches leading up to the stage which some people sit, but you can't see well there at all. Also, my mom brought a fold up chair for my grandmother to sit in which worked out. She kept it with her long enough to see the show then brought it back to the car (or in some people's case...their hotel room).

As for the stage being elevated...no, not really. They perform on some steps and therefore where they are differs. If you have tall people standing in front of you, good chance you won't be able to see...especially the kids.

No, I haven't actually. We rarely ever stayed at a hotel or anywhere overnight because we live so close to the parks. Only this year did we start and was only for one night. We've been to Royal Pacfic onsite and Amerisuites Universal, but no where else.

Do you carry it around with you all day? What do you do while you're riding? Just sit on it? It seems like it would be a pain carrying it around.
