Universal Studios in March

Hi,
I think I am going senile! A few years ago we went to Universal we've been twice. I cannot remember how I got a good deal on the hotel. We also got an airmiles deal of the week for the tickets. Anyone remember what time of the year the deal of the week was? Any tips for Hard Rock Hotel discounts.

We got a good deal searching on Skoosh.com

We went April 5, 2009, stayed at the Clarion Hotel at Universal Orlando for 6 nights. Cost was $335.64 US inclusive of taxes.

The hotel was ok, clean enough, comfy enough, but I'm glad we didn't pay $100 per night. The pool was too warm and not refreshing. We were upgraded to a suite after 2 days, can't remember why, I think something was mixed up, and they promised to fix it, then forgot, so they upgraded us.

I've never been to Florida during the spring break time, maybe the large crowds dampened my spirits. But that was still a pretty good deal.
