Universal Studios Cost and e-Miles Questions

I've got two questions, but I figured I'd combine them.

1. My daughter has mentioned that she'd like to go to Universal for a day while we're in Orlando. We won't be renting a car. Any advice on budget ways to get to and from Universal? If we end up taking a cab, about how much am I looking at? Any sites for discount tickets and are reputable (kind of like Undercover Tourist is for Disney tickets). I might check AAA too. Their one day tickets are really pricey!

2. I signed up for the e-Miles website where you watch ads and stuff and get frequent flyer points. I'm at 70 points and got there very quickly. I need 500 before I can transfer to Southwest. Have other people used this site? Is it legit?

According to the Mears Taxi Fare Estimator, you're looking at $44 OW from the Magic Kingdom to Universal Studios. It would be less from the Epcot area. The price does not include tips.

TBH, a 1-day rental car would be more convenient and cost much less. But you would also need to do the driving yourself plus pay for parking at Universal.

I do e-Miles all of the time and the website is legitimate. However, it can take a very long time to reach 500 miles. They seem to slow down with their emails after the initial offers. It really pays off if you do the sign ups, donations and purchases that each ad is promoting. I get about 1-2 emails from them every day. It results in *maybe* 5 pts. total since I don't do sign ups. I'm certainly not going to be flying for free on their dime but even 500 points once per year is better than nothing.

Undercover Tourist also sells discount Universal tickets. I don't know of a better site.

I have used e-miles and successfully gotten Delta Sky Miles through the program, though I'll ditto the PP about the slow rate after awhile, but better than nothing!

UCT sells Universal Tixs., Costco sells them but they are more than 1 day tixs I believe.
I do Emiles and find things are slow in coming, I do better with e rewards in getting miles.
Sometimes Mycokerewards has uni tixs for coke points.
Check with credit unions and places of work for cheaper tixs also. I know the lynx bus system does a run from ttc to uni but i'm sure car is still cheaper.
