Universal Studios Construction and Grinchmas

Hi!
Just wondering if anyone has been to US lately. What's it like there with all the construction going on? We will be at DL first week of December and usually take a day to go to US, but not sure if it's worth it right now with all the construction. Just 2 adults going...

Also when does Grinchmas start? I think we will miss it by a few days...

We were there last week for a full regular day and Halloween Horror. The construction is certainly everywhere but doesn't really affect your day. It is interesting to see the "skeleton" of what will soon be Harry Potter.
The rides were in great shape this trip. (last time we were there Jurassic Park had a lot of broken down animatronics etc.) If you haven't done Transformers, it is worth a trip by itself, it is a fantastic ride that Disney could learn a lot from. (Similar to Spiderman in Orlando)
We had a great day at the park! We also had a FANTASTIC day at Knotts Berry Farm. If you plan on Knotts going during the week, we walked on every ride as many times as we wanted!
