Universal Studios Announces New Coaster For 2009

I had almost forgotten about this!! WOOHOO!!

I like the sound of that one better. There are enough multi-looped coasters at IOA.

NEVER!! :)

NEVER!! :)

I can do non-looping coasters over and over but I can only do a looping coaster once and then my head needs an hour or so before I can tackle another one.

I'm happy to get another ride that I can add into my MIB - Mummy eternity loop.

The concept art looks incredible.

The point is this is gonna bring in a ton of guests. Now instead of people seeing the Hulk when there walking through City Walk, they will see this as well and this could quite possibly help to evenly disperse crowds to Universal and not just IOA once WWOHP opens.

As far as HHN is concerned: now I don't have to complain about not being able to ride any deccent rides while the event is at the Studios. Dumb people will wait in line for this attraction at HHN and the line will probably reach over a 3 hour wait and that less people in line for the houses. In fact this may cause such a huge cluster of people that IOA may actually have to be used once again which is good right?

Any word on what kind of launch?

Haven't heard anything about it, but did hear that there would be a station of some sort in Citywalk so that it can be ridden when the park is closed. When you look closely at the concept art you can see that.

You can also see how the coaster is on top of the loop. Yay!!!

I'm surprised they put this in the Studios, but I suppose IOA has plenty coasters :goodvibes

With Harry Potter opening at IOA in 09, it was almost inevitable that the Studios needed this addition to bring guests into both parks.

I think it's going to be WILD to go flying over CityWalk...that's really COOL!

wheeeee!

assume they'll put some sort of "big" net up to avoid pesky lawsuits from flying objects popcorn:: hope it's not an eyesore:confused3

I'm glad it isn't going over the Hollywood section. Sounds and looks like fun.

So is it just going over parts of CityWalk then? I always thought that Dream Coaster (or whatever it's called) in Japan totally ruined the look of the area and I'd hate to see that happen to Orlando.

It sounds like it's going to be in the park as well as out. I'll be interested to see the layout once that's released.

Wow! I'm also excited about this news! Does anybody know when construction will start?

I think some earth moving has been started already for this.....My goodness can't wait for more concept art!
