Went to Universal Studios Hollywood yesterday for my birthday and I was given a Happy Birthday button with my name on it.

We walked up the Transformer ride and it was a 35 minute wait. The cast member manning the lines said "Welcome Soldiers" "Happy Birthday" "Is it just the two of you?" "Right this way" and she sent us down the Front of the Line line where we just walked on to the next car.

What a special treat, I give Universal Studios an A+ for going above and beyond :)

I agree with you A+!!! We were given a few FOTL passes for a few rides when we were recently there and that just goes above and beyond imo for customer service and we didn't have a button on... We also went to Disneyland on our anniversary (the same week) and had buttons on and all they did was wish us a happy anniversary:sad: I even made reservations through the Disney Dining phone line and they asked if it was a special event and they didn't do anything at dinner... So, yeah USH A++:thumbsup2

Not surprised at all.

USH has really upped their guest service the past few years. IMO, I rank them higher than Disneyland when it comes to CastMembers, or should I say Team Members, going above and beyond to make guest happy.

When it rains at the park, they give out FREE unlimited hot chocolate and coffee.

Also, when it rains more than 1/8 inch before 2pm, they give out complimentary tickets to come back to the park.

When a ride breaks down, Team Members pass out free pretzels, bottled water, and Jellybeans to guests in line.

And its not unusual for Team Members to pull guests from standby lines and send them through the exit or FOL entrance.

Its little touches that go a long way.

I completely agree... That little things they did to make your day makes it worth while to come back again and also to let your friends/family know... Now that you mention it while in line for the Transformers ride they were playing a game with the crowd and whomever won got to go to the front of the line.. Just way cool imo:thumbsup2
