Universal stay in nov is it needed

Hi we haven't been to universal before there will be two ads and kids aged 3,5,11,16
Do we need to book a night there during nov

Went to Universal just before Christmas and stayed at the Royal Pacific. I am so glad we did as the queues were long and we managed to skip alot being hotel guests. So worth the money we spent
