Universal please consolidate all the room keys and tickets in to 1

It looks like it is an $80 difference to get them through UT. Is it better to order through US instead? What type of ticket and what options for physical tickets does that have?
All authorized sellers have the same tickets/set up as UO

Buy from universal or 3 rd party company they all have E tickets and actual tickets

So after reading all of these I have a question. We will be getting lanyards and my kids are all older so each kid will have the lanyard. I am purchasing tickets on Undercover Tourist, so I believe they are print at home. Should I wait until we check in at RPR and print them out there? Is that even an option? We will obviously also have the EP from staying there so that is a separate ticket? Thanks!
I'm going through all the motions right now as I am you because I was curious about the pick up options on UT.
If you want to save the money and you want "REAL" tickets you can pick them up at the UPS store that they specify. This is an option at check-out. You click "mailed to you" and then when you're selecting delivery speed you select UPS pick up. If you order today it has them there as early as Tuesday. Or you can spend the extra money and buy from Universal and do Will Call kiosk pick up. This kiosk is right next to the EP maker that I talk about below.

Otherwise your only other option on UT is to print at home. You save $18 and some change purchasing on UT versus online at Universal for an adult ticket. You can cut the ticket down so that it is more manageable. I used to do this at seaworld and disney during my high school summer trips as we always bought online. Once you cut it down fold it so that the barcode is facing out. If they ask to see it simply pull it out. I do agree with others in printing extras. (one per day maybe?) Just leave them at the hotel. If you're staying onsite it's only a 20 minute delay should you need to run back and grab it.

EP is a separate ticket. I face my EP out on one side and my ticket out on the other of a lanyard. When you check into the hotel they will give you either temp room keys if your room isn't ready or go ahead and give you your room keys. You'll take these to the EP kiosks and get your EPs made. If you're at RPR from the check-in desk you'll take a right and they're behind you to the right. Big screens build into a wooden thing. Once you have those you can head straight to the park and start using them! They'll be valid for your entire stay: check-in day and check-out day included.

Not familiar with temp hotel keys

Have stayed at hrh and rpr where they issue you the room key card when you have checked in

You can leave and create your photo ID ep card then

You don't always have a room assigned when you check in but once your room is ready, you are sent a text to tell you your room number

You don't have to go to the lobby desk but directly to your room then
Your room is programmed to your card once it is assigned
You can request to have your bags places in your room once it is ready or wait until you are in the room and call star service to have them be brought up to you

Being a frequent visitor to Universal Orlando and usually staying at RPR, it would be so much easier to combine room key, park tickets or AP's and Express passes in to 1 card. Certainly not asking for a cute little IR wrist band or anything elaborate, but just put it all on 1 card. This is especially a hassle when using Hogwarts express where everyone has to pull out the paper tickets and show line worker the tickets. Would be so much easier to just swipe the card with P2P access at a kiosk or such while entering the terminal. We do keep them all in a lanyard but when it rains or gets wet, those paper tickets are goners. The technology is certainly cost efficient for this to happen, so why is Uni so reluctant to use it? Thoughts?
Seems like there are a lot of fans here of having multiple tickets. I agree with you though, I would love one card for everything! I would love to have a room key/express pass/annual pass/HHN express pass/HHN ticket all in one! Or even a separate room key, but all my universal tickets be associated with the same bar code. A girl can dream.

They always tell us these are our temp room keys to get fast passes except at RPR the one time I've stayed there. Our room was already ready so they told us our room number and we went straight there after the parks.
At HRH and PBH they've told me these are temp room keys to get our fast passes. HRH sent me a text to tell us the room was ready but didn't tell us room number. PBH never texted me despite them telling me they would. Both of those we've had to go back to the hotel desk and get new keys.
You've been way more than me, but that's just been my experience.

Not to hijack, but a question for the lanyard folks. I have cheap lanyards I bought for my kids to pin trade at WDW. They come with a plastic sleeve that's probably 2 in by 3 in. Is that sufficient for the kids? I think the only things they'll have are tix and EPs. DH and I will have the room keys.

I still think it comes down to separate entities. Loew's, universal, carts in the park from a third party and the parking lots at the Loew's hotels being owned by a third party. A lot of hotels don't own any property including Marriott. However, it would be nice to have everything linked to one card. It doesn't bother me and although the magic band worked flawlessly for me, I hated wearing it. As UO continues to grow, I think we will eventually see an upgraded system.

If a credit card will fit in the sleeve you are good to go.

For anyone who gets print at home paper tickets you can get the smaller tyvek tickets that fit in your lanyard if you go to guest services and exchange them at no charge. It takes a little time, but make things so much easier not having to pull out a 8 x 10 paper ticket to be scanned all the time.

Lots of good advice.

Squirlz I have problems with the scanners to. Used to play bass guitar. Calluses on finger tips are not scanner friendly, but alas no problems having fun at Universal. Only need scanning at gate and HE.

Robo when did they change the policy and exchange paper 8x10 tickets for the tyvek?

I know if someone has a wet unreadable scan sheet it could be exchanged but not aware they now do it in all cases just because they want it

I know there are options to do print at home or order actual tickets

Last year when I had son and family and granddaughters boyfriend to Universal I got a really good deal at AAA on multi day tickets. They printed the 8 x 10 paper tickets when I purchased them. We checked in to PBH and made our check in day a pool and Citywalk day. We went over to guest services and exchanged their paper tickets for the cc size tyvek card tickets with no problem. They picked out lanyards at the Universal store loaded their lanyards and we were ready the next day when we hit the parks.

TM we dealt with at guest services was super nice and helpful.
