Went to the Orlando Informer Meetup event on Saturday and had a pretty good time...we arrived at the park at 4pm while the general public was still there.

This was my first time at Universal in 5-6yrs. Is the clientele there normally, ummm, how do I say this? So trashy and ratchet? After spending the previous two days at Disney I noticed a HUGE difference upon arriving at CityWalk and into the parks. Is this typical for Universal? It didn’t have a family friendly feel, and not that I was looking for that (2 gay men in their 30s with no kids here) but this was like shocking.

Seeing some of the clothes that were worn and just the general nastiness of some of the people was appalling. It felt like being at a low-rent Six Flags.

We definitely noticed that too. We enjoyed a wonderful week at Disney and then went to Universal for our last day. The clientele was just so different (attitude and attire). We don’t judge, but the amount of bum cheeks and bad language we saw/heard made us blush some!

Exactly! I am not a saint by ANY MEANS! But at Disney I understand there’s many children and families and I tailor my attire/attitude/language to that atmosphere out of respect for those families. I don’t show up at Disney ready to throw a gay rave, nor do I expect families to show up to a gay rave and expect family friendly atmosphere.

I really wanted to like Universal, and I did enjoy the rides, but the crowd was just so gross.

It may just be a sign of the times. I definitely have seen that at WDW and at DLR. I haven’t been since the Pandemic started, so it will be interesting to see if I notice a difference next month.

I’m speechless....
Gay people have families also.
No idea why they were even brought up in your post

You would get more attention with your whine by posting in the community board
