Universal, specifically IOA, is a lot of big, fast coasters. If they like that stuff then great. The US parks are really geared more towards teens and young adults.
If they like animals and have never done Sea World they will love it. There are a couple of coasters there, but it is mostly shows. If they think any show is boring they may not like it, but the animals are amazing.
Do you plan to leave Disney one day to do another park? Have you been to Disney before and seen/done it all? Many people think they will get bored at Disney and need to go do something else to fill time during the trip, but the 4 parks at Disney, plus DTD, the water parks, etc. can fill several weeks!
Universal is opening a Harry Potter section soon and we want to see that, but otherwise we prefer Disney so much more
hmmmmm I love seaworld but if your kids are into coasters & rides/attractions go to Universal/Islands of Adventure...it is NOT my favorite park but thats because my son is wayyyyy to little and there was maybe one or two things he was able to do there...
Like I said i love seaworld...the shows are great...but theres two roller coasters (both I heard are great, my son's father rode them all day when we went)...Shamu show is awesome, the Sea Lion and Otter show is funny, the dolphin show is beautiful. You can also feed the Sealions, Dolphins for a little extra...There's the Shamu Harbour but I think thats for smaller kids? They have this rope thing that the big boys like to climb up on...
What I love about seaworld *I have passes* its never PACKED!!!!!!!!! you can actually enjoy the day...
