Maybe that's because they are our favourite, but we'd prefer Universal over Disney any day ( running for cover now).

There's just so much to do and look at in both parks - especially so if it's your first time.

You can do IOA in half a day, but you'd need to know what rides you want to go and see what the lines are like first.

I fully agree, the Universal parks are tops with us too - there is much more to Orlando and Florida than just Disney.

In danger of being flamed here but..........US and IOA are by far more popular with our family than Disney. Perhaps because they are teenagers now and Disney is a bit 'twee' for them but they're also favourites with my youngest who's just eleven. Don't dismiss IOA thinking that it's just thrill rides; Seuss Landing, Superheros, Popeye and Ripsaw Falls are firm favourites with the kids - not to be missed IMHO.

The Poseidon show at IOA is good too - just dont do it if you are wet through or you will freeze!

We'll be giving US/IOA a miss next year as time is short but we did do both last Sept. I'd say for your party that you'll all end up with different favourites so try and fit in what you can.

Are you doing the water parks - personally I'd give up US/IOA and WDW to make sure I had time to do Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach
