We will be at WDW in June for 5 days. Had thought about concentrating on WDW for first 4 and then heading over the Universal IOA on our last day (yes, I've heard that we should bring dry clothing to change into!)-We would then leave IOA for our 7:30 flight home. Is Universal closer to the airport than Disney? We have never been to IOA but have an idea of the rides we would like to try. Our visit would be on a Sunday Is my plan doable? How long will it take us to get to the airport?

You can probably do IOA in a day. You may have to miss a few shows or minor attractions, but you should be able to ride the major stuff at least once.
The drive from IOA to the airport takes about 20-30 minutes.
