Universal on December 22/23 - how busy?

Has anyone been to US/IOA around this time? We'll be at WDW from December 15 until December 24 and I'm thinking about spending the last 2 nights (Friday and Saturday, December 22 and 23) at Universal instead. I'm wondering how crowded Universal will be? I would probably stay at HRH so we would have express pass, but will even express pass be busy.

Any advice on this time of year would be appreciated. We've never been to US/IOA before.

One more question, can you make ADRs at US restaurants, like you can at WDW? Thanks
