Ok we have been tossing around all kinds of ideas for our June vacation. My boys are really interested in trying Universal- we have been to Disney several times and they want to do something different.
We are looking at the 14 day ticket deal but also interested in staying on site so that we can take advantage of the FOL access.
I priced Royal Pacific for 4 nights at about 1100.00 and the 14 day tickets will run us about 700.00. Is that a good deal for Universal?
Would we really have 5 days of FOL with our room keys? (meaning can we use it again on our checkout day?)
Our plan would to then check into a cheaperish type condo or hotel and stay a few more days without the FOL.....is this a good plan? Thanks for any advice or help anyone can offer....

I would stay offsite first then stay onsite for the end of your stay. You will not want to leave RPR after being spoiled. I would stay off site and visit some other attractions then move over to RPR for the last 4 days.:thumbsup2

will your vacation be for 14 days?

if it is, i am assuming you will be doing other activities besides the 5 days at UO parks.

if that is the case, do off site first, then 4 nights onsite doing the parks for 5 days, then off site for the remainder days of your vacation.

if you are only doing universal and a split stay of offsite/onsite, i would do the offsite first if this meant you would be at the parks during the week.
mainly mon-thurs.
then i would switch to the onsite hotels.

go to the booking site and use the promo for room rates to see if this is the best rate for the hotel.
stay more save more gives a decent discount for a stay of 3 or more days.
