The wait and see would help if you're stay offsite.

From my understanding, the pass you get from staying on-site is different from the pass you can buy at the park.

Technically, you don't get a seperate pass when staying on-site, your room key is used. Each person staying on-site is giving a room key, regardless of age. Then to access the express lane, each person will show their room key to the line attendant. There is no limit on the number of times you can enter the same ride's express lane when using your room keys. My advice is if you stay on-site, purchase a lanyard that will hold all the room keys and park entrance passes.

For off-site guests only, they can purchase the express pass. This pass will give them express lane access to each ride once. The price varies, depending upon expected crowd levels.

As you can see, the on-site perk is superior to the pass that off-site guests can purchase.
