Hello all....I'm a frequent poster on the Disney forums, but this is my first time on the Universal side!

My daughter and a couple of friends (20/21 years old) would like to travel to Universal mid-January 2011, but it doesn't look like we can book that far out yet. Because they are young and don't want to pay the extra fees (under 25) to rent a car, they are looking to stay onsite.

I have 3 questions for now, but I'm sure there will be more:

1. Is it really possible that we can't book 5 months out? Or is it that everything is booked solid (for January?!?) nevermind...found the answer to this one....

2. What kind of price range we can expect to be looking at for any of the 3 onsite hotels for January?

3. Would you recommend one over another for a group of young women?

Appreciate any help you can offer! This is their first trip as "adults" and I'd like to help make it a smooth one.

I would choose Hard Rock mostly because of its proximity to everything and also the atmosphere. Take a look in the dates and rates 2010 thread and you'll see typical January prices. The person whose name is on the reservation needs to be 21, just an FYI.

Did not know about the age on the reservation...good to know! Thanks for the other information as well.

Definitely the Hard Rock Hotel. Our 22 year old son loves it. The atmosphere, pool and location can not be beat.
