I've just been reading up on the Universal meal deal. It's my understanding that it's for lunch/dinner/snacks and beverages are not included. Is it worth it? Has anyone tried it and enjoyed it?

Unless you are a group of big eaters, love cs/fastfood I would skip it..Only a few restaurants were on the program and some of the childrens options were completely lacking at those places. It just didn't appeal to us or seem worth it.But we were only a party of 3, we had a picky eater, the parks closed early and we only like CS lunches. We eat TS meals for dinner

I'm not a fan of it because I thought it was for the quick service areas only. I used the dinner and movie deal while I was down there 19.95 for entree and movie ticket per person. City walk always has excellent deals.

My family has tried the meal deal and imo it was not worth the money.

We did it one day on our trip in 2010, and didn't find it worthwhile. We declined to purchase it for our other park days since it was so limited and had narrow choices.

if i stay for 9 nights/10 days at the darkside, i do the meal plan one of the days.

but it is a day that i am just walking around, taking pictures and doing the shows.

i do 3 meals for that day and feel like a blimp afterwards.
i only like it at the studio side as i normally will eat at Louies at least 3 times and once IFFF for the fried chicken dinner.

i avoid Mels.

normally, i would say it is not worth it.
it takes too much time out of your park riding day.

depending on when you go to the darkside, the park could close early.
the meal deal is not valid 30 minutes prior to park closing.

i bought my dueling dragon mug back in the late 1990's.
i take it with me on vacation and use it for the cheap refill costs for soda.

how can i eat pizza and caesar salad without the coke????

if you have a decent stay onsite, and want to do a leisurely walk around the park, take pictures day, and if the park closes at 9 pm, it could be worth it.

i have so many places in both parks that i always hit to get food at.
city walk also.
hotel restaurants too.

when i do the meal deal promo, it is at the end of my stay.
and i don't do it every year.

if Boulangerie at the studios was on that meal deal, i would buy it without a blink of the eye.....
