Universal Mastercard coupon book

I have a Universal MC. We are going 10/1-10/4, going to HHN 10/2 & buying express pass for this event. I currently have a deluxe room at HRH booked at $239 a night. If I keep this reservation and buy HHN tix separately it comes out to $1182.40. If I charge my trip to book with Universal MC, the price is $1258 but I get some sort of vacation coupon savings booklet that gives you discounted and free merchandise and food items. The Universal rep could not tell me what was in the coupon book. I figure SOMEONE on this website must have a Universal MC and at some point must have gotten this book. I need to know if it's worth it to pay the extra bucks. Trying to pinch pennies where I can.

I do not think it would be worth it. When we got the coupon book it was for a free dessert over at a place at PBH, 10 or 15% discount on a ride photo, 10 or 15% off a meal here or there. Maybe another % off coupon for a souvenir shop. I felt we had to go out of our way to use the coupons, and also, we already had the % off discounts because we upgraded to AP's while we were there.

We have the Univervsal MC and never got a coupon book. But the card is worth 10% off every restaurant (except carts) and at the shops. You can also order tickets at a discount.

Sounds like the discount coupons you could use aren't too great a discount, you should have at least 10% off everything already. So, if you use the card for purchases you won't need the coupons. Plus, nearly every charge (including hotel, i think) gives you double points. If you get 80k, you get a 3 nights at the RPR.

I should be eligible for that sometime in the next decade :<
