We are booked at Disney for free dining, but I am secretly considering spending two days at Universal. I know its crazy financially, but I'm not quite ready to completely give up Disney :goodvibes . I'm thinking that 2 days would help us decide if we want to totally do Universal in the future. I have a DD13, DS10 and DS6. My boys love Spiderman and any superhero, so I think they would love it. Any advice for short day trips? I am totally in the dark about this, so any help is greatly appreciated!

Also, what are transportation options?

You can take a cab or Mears or a limo. Be at the park gates about 30 minutes before opening to enjoy a few hours of line free fun.

You can buy passes online at www.universalorlando.com for around $80 including tax that will give you 7 days at the parks (expires 7 days after activation).

Haha...being sneaky aye? ;)

Mears seems to be the cheapest way to go. Their round trip should be cheaper than a cab so I would check them. You would have to call 24 hours prior but that shouldn't be an issue for you.

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into Mears and the $80 tickets. I hope we can do it - I know my kids would love it.

DH and DS (20) are more big ride people and they are going to do the universal thing too while we are there. I figure it gives me and DD (17) more time to do what we enjoy at Disney instead of chasing them around to all the rollercoasters/big rides ha ha. Really glad OP started this thread. I will be lurking. :goodvibes
