My DH and I are going to be at Disney March 4-10 and we have set one day aside to do Universal/IOA. I really want to see WWOHP and he wants to do the attractions at Universal. Since its just the two of us and we are going at a relatively low crowd time of year, do you think that it is possible for us to do both in a day? We dont really care about all the shows, we are there for the rides =) My plan was to go to Universal from Open until about noon and then hop over to IOA until it closes.. thoughts? opinions?

You shouldn't have any problems doing everything you want with the plan you've mentioned.

You should be fine.

If some of the lines are too long for your liking, you can always consider the single rider lines for the rides that offer them. That can cut down on the wait time considerably.

My husband and I are going on Feb 13th and decided we'd do both parks in one day since we don't have kids and can keep moving all day.

I'm not decided if it is better to do IoA first or Universal, though...I was thinking IoA would be better to do first because of how busy WWoHP gets but I'm not sure.

I think IoA is usually open an hour later than US -- if that's still the case, do US first. Also, WWoHP tends to have very light crowds in the last couple of hours as most people rush to do it first thing.

My husband and I do this pretty regularly (both parks in one day) and can ride pretty much all the major things in both parks. We definitely rely on the single rider lines, especially for Revenge of the Mummy and HP Forbidden Journey.

My most important piece of advice is that whichever park you start in, be at that gate BEFORE it opens. If you are among the first people to enter the park, you can get a lot done before any lines build. We actually go back and forth several times a day between IoA and US, as it's a fairly quick walk between them.

DH and I went on December 2nd so low crowds and managed to do both parks in one day. We arrived at IoA slightly after opening and headed straight to WWoHP. We stayed at IoA till around lunchtime and went to US and then went back to IoA towards the end of the evening to shop in Hogsmede. We didn't do any shows and skipped a lot of the roller coasters but we still hit most of the headliners.

My huband and I, and my sister and her husband will be there on Saturday February 25th. I know Saturday's are busier, but that is all we can swing, is that still slow enough season that the lines won't be too bad? I'm excited to do a theme park with no kids!!

My sister will be 20 weeks pregnant and is debating about coming, because she is the type that will REALLY want to do the rides, do you think it is a bad idea to do the rides at that point ina pregnancy?

Thanks

Oh yes, I forgot to mention we will only be doing IOA. I know Mardi Gras stuff is going on but that will only be at Universal Studios, correct? In fact, would that make the IOA crowds a little bit lighter, especially in the evening?

We'll be going to Orlando March 20-29 especially for US, IoA, and Wet n Wild. We've been to MK and all the other parks three years in a row, but have never been to the mentioned above. How many days would we need in order to see everything that was offered at US and the other parks? Is Wet n Wild as big as Blizzard Beach? Do we need to plan other stuff to fill in the days? Also, our children are 8 and 10. Thanks.

Don't know about Wet n Wild, but US an IoA generally take two or three days for most people. Personally, as long as I'm there, I like staying four days... but some people find that too much given the size of the parks (on the other hand, I know there are people on these boards who stay even longer than that).

Even at a very leisurely pace -- two days in the parks, a day at WnW, two days in the parks, another day at WnW -- you'll probably still want to plan more stuff, like SeaWorld... or that giant slingshot that'll fling you and your kids into the sky. I've never done it, but you can see it from US.

You should allow a full day for each park so you can take your time and enjoy everything. If you're going to be here for nine days, you might want to consider adding SeaWorld and Aquatica to your list of things to do. Maybe even Legoland and Busch Gardens as well. But...that's a lot more money unless you get the Orlando Flexticket.

Lines shouldn't be too bad at IOA during that day except for WWoHP but the Studios will be jumping in the afternoon/evening hours with Diana Ross performing that night. There will be LOTS of people for the concert and parade but again...IOA shouldn't be too bad.

As far as whether your sister should come with you...I would recommend having her check with her doctor and if he/she says fine, then bring her along.

Mardi Gras is only at the Studios...nothing at IOA. The first few days you're here shouldn't be too bad but then crowd levels ramp up from the 23rd until you leave so keep that in mind.
