Universal hotel reservation question

Hi everyone. I just decided to take my daughter on a surprise trip as a belated birthday present this fall, and I made a reservation yesterday at Cabana Bay. It didn't prompt me to create an account, but I put all of my information in. I got a confirmation on screen which I saved to a .pdf, but I never got a confirmation email -- should I have? Also I thought one night deposit would be charged, but I have not been charged. Is there any way to check on a reservation with Universal? It seems strange not to be able to log in to an account and see it there. Thank you!

We usually get emails right away. I would call the resort to confirm the reservation and make sure your email address is on it...

My deposit took a couple of days to hit the bank. Go to the Universal page where you make reservations at the top in the blue by Cart there should be a MyReservations and click on that. Put in your last name and confirmation number and you can see your actual reservation.

Thank you!!! I didn't realize I had to act like I was making a new reservation to get to that screen.

In the future, consider skipping over Universal's booking and go right to Loews instead https://www.loewshotels.com/universal-orlando
I find the Universal site challenging sometime. The hotels are operated by Loews.
Packages are best avoided but if you booked one already I'm sure it'll be fine. (best avoided because it's harder to make reservation changes and fees apply if you do)

i usually book an AP rate through the website or use Dreams Unlimited Travel. If you are staying at CBBR bring you own inflatable tube for the lazy river. They will blow it up for you
