Hi Everyone,

I appreciate any advice, comments, or tips for planning a trip to Disney and Universal in the month of October. The trip is for two adults (no children) and I am comparing the Universal Horror Nights and Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party. I am getting the vibe that the MNSSHP is geared more for younger children and that the Horror Nights might be a bit more fun for us to attend. If you have been to either I would love to hear from you...

Also, are there any other special Halloween events or important things to see in the month of October?

Thank you so much for all your help!

I have done MNNSHP a couple of times and it's fun - great parade and fireworks with some fun shows thrown in. I haven't done HHN @ US yet, but it is the opposite extreme of MNSSHP - very intense, especially for younger kids.

BUT, there's a rumor of a new Halloween night to be held at MGM - more adultish with many villians. Here's a link to the rumors board:

HTH!!! :teeth:

Never been to Universal. MNSSHP is really for kids in that it isn't scary (like the name implies) but it is worth doing 1. because that is the only time MK is decorated for Halloween 2. you can walk on to rides if you time it right 3. the fireworks are amazing. WDW also has the food and wine festival at Epcot in October, this is definately for adults and the best food you will get at WDW.

Indeed it is, almost to the point where after going to HHN last year I think Universal should put an age restriction on the whole event, like 12 and up or something...it's really not good for little kids, but its great for grown-ups who like halloween. HHN is the new standard for halloween decorations.

You can find more info on the Universal section of the DIS :thumbsup2

HHR at Universal is definitely for adults and much more scarier.

MNSSHP is for the family and not so scary.

I'd love a Halloween event at MGM.
