My fiancee and I have been to Universal about 5 times before and we decided to go there for our honeymoon. We are planning one staying a total of 7 nights but split it between two hotels. The first 4 nights we will book the Stay and Play Package at Royal Pacific in the waterview room. But we don't know where to book for the other 3 nights. We want something less expensive (we are on a pretty tight budget) but we want something kinda nice. The Crowne Plaza by Unviersal had a special on the website about stay three nights at 109 a night you get the third night free so that comes out to under $100 a night.

I would really like to stay somewhere with a jacuzzi tub in the room but that is the one thing that none of the hotels seem to have. I have ran across a few Disney resorts but we don't want to stay there and we don't want to stay at a villa, anyone know of any hotels that have jacuzzi tubs in the rooms?

This is what we plan on doing, any other suggestions(days will probably change)? Only place we haven't already been in Busch Gardens.

Days
1-Drive there
2-Universal
3-Discovery Cove
4-Sea World
5-Universal
6-Busch Gardens
7-?????
8-Drive Back

Hi.......the Clarion Hotel has a semi-private jacuzzi and sauna -

http://www.floridadiscounthotels.ws/orl/Clarion-Hotel-Universal.html

The HRH has a hot tub/jacuzzi that you can hire out - but obviously hotel is expensive.

I believe the Hawthorn Suites also has a nice jacuzzi - but again to hire not in room.

I don't know of any with Jacuzzi in room unless it's one of the deluxe hotels - but even then I think they are not in the room.

Sorry I cannot help any more than that. Hopefully someone else will know....

Caribe Royal has jacuzzi tubs, but they are closer to Disney. You may want to check it out.

Congratulations!

Westgate Lakes Resort has the tubs in the bedroom with mirrors, big screened in porch, shower in bathroom, kitchenette. I think that they are on Hotwire for that time at $102. They are located on Turkey Lake Road near USF. I have to tell you that I had a little trouble with housekeeping there.

With hotwire, don't you not know what you are getting or am I thinking of something else?

You do and you don't. Checkout Mousesavers.com for the icons for Universal. There is another site Tripbidding? that has turned it into a science.

There are many other smaller attractions around the Universal/Seaworld area. I'd say take that "????" day as a rest day and relax. Maybe see a movie, go to a smaller attraction or two on I-Drive (Wonderworks, Wet N Wild, SkyVenture, etc). Having that rest day will help you out so you wont feel too tired.

We have done Wet and Wild and its so expensive! We have also been to Wonderworks and Ripleys. Wonderworks was pretty cool. Are there any other attractions that would be nice for us to do?

Westgate gets terriable reviews - just a warning based on what I have read.

Often I have tried to get those jacuzzi tubs - I have found over the years that really it doesn't matter. Enjoy the tubs at the pool of the deluxe hotels (like Hard Rock or RP or Portofino Bay) and don't get overly concerned about having one in your room (the nice hotel is often better than a "yuck" hotel that happens to advertise "jacuzzi in room").

One exception was a villa at Board walk inn - very nice room with hugh bathroom and big jacuzzi. Expensive (unless you rent points from a DVC member). Still, I think the rooms at Universal are better.....

*cranks his brain*

Fun Spot off I-Drive.

Old Town in Kissimmee. While there, try the SkyCoaster. It's a bit expensive, but it's an amazing thrill.

Jacuzzi tubs in hotels are pretty disgusting. Unless the tub has been regularly run through with a bleach solution, there is a huge build up of mould and yuck in the jet holding areas. I suggest you stick to the hottubs and avoid the multitude of bacteria in the hotel room jacuzzi. If you do decide on the jacuzzi route, plan to bring along some bleach and run the jets with the bleach solution in the tub to disinfect first. Then drain the tub and start over again with a clean system.
