Universal for Solo?

How is Universal Studios/IOA for solo travelers? I've never been there but ever since I saw their commercial on TV a few years ago I've been dying to go. My parents didn't let us though; they said Disney was enough. Is it a "solo" friendly park? Will it be weird going solo on their rides? I LOVE movies and want to go to Universal Orlando so bad!!

While I've never been to Universal without my better half, most of the major attractions have single rider lines, which move pretty quickly. You shouldn't feel weird at all utilizing the single rider lines -- lots of people do!

I've been to both Uni parks solo 5 or 6 times. They are actually more solo-friendly than Disney, because more of their rides have single rider lines.

I've always had a terrific time at Uni. Best part: riding MIB 3 or 4 times in a row with almost no wait because of the single riders line.

This is one of the few things that US/IOA has on Disney. My first visit to US/IOA I was solo and between FOTL and single rider lines, I was able to get all the major stuff done in my 2 day visit!!!

I was just at Universal alone this weekend. My friend backed out the day before the trip because he as concerned about the weather. So I went alone...I have never done anything like that by myself before. But I had a great time! I did both parks in one day and did all the rides...some more than once!

I've done both the parks (CA and FL) single and had a blast, go for it. The single rider line is probably the greatest invention for solo travelers, ever. The only time I really felt weird was at Margaritaville on CityWalk, after the fact, I felt kind of out of place at first, but grabbing a seat at the bar helped and I met some nice people to chat with.
