If there are any plus sized people out there who have rode or attempted to ride the coasters at IOA could you let me know what size you are and if you fit. I am heading to Florida in December and my DD13 is so excited about the coasters but she will only ride if I ride with her and now I am pannicked!!! :scared1: I am 5' 4"and a size 24 I carry most of my weight in the spare tire area and I have quite a bit of junk in my trunk too. If anyone can give me advice it would be appreciated

I don't know what rows they are but I know on dueling dragons has seats for larger people and so does the hulk and maybe Metro or one of the others can tell you which they are but as for myself I am 6ft and wieght is 264 and the hulk regular are tight but I can fit them but DD is diffrent story cause this year I rode in regular seat and felt like I was being crushed but made it thru it anyway.
rest of the rides I really have no issues except for Jimmy nuetron cause the chicken dance kills me :lmao: :lmao:

On Hulk and Dueling Dragons...there are test seats out front to try out before riding. The "big boy" seats are rows 3 & 6 on each train...it's the seat with the two seat belt buckles. Here is what to look for:

Im 6ft 2 and 294 LBS. I rode "The Mummy" and boy was I squashed. I could hardly breathe, when the Ride assistant pulled my bar onto my stomach he pushed EXTRA hard to get it to click. I would have rather had him say I could not fit!:confused3 I also attempted to get onto "Ripsaw Falls" but tried the test seat and could not get into it FULL STOP. I would be slightly more wary at Universal than at WDW as Universal tend to be less forgiving for those larger than most.:hippie:

I have never had a problem. I asked for the larger seats and have always fit.
I am short and fat.

I was sent to the fat seat for the first time this trip (I stopped smoking, gained enough weight to be put in the fat seat) as far as I can see, it only has a double strap to hold you in, but not really any extra room.

In 2005 I was 5'8", about 280 with most of my weight in the hips and knockers. I fit with minimal squishing in the big seats in rows 3 and 6. They have to give more room in the chest area cause I could not get the restraint any where near closed on the regular seats.

In 2007 I was still 5'8" but about 230 less hips and a bit less knockers. Definitely less belly. I fit the regular seats with a bit of squishing.

I think if you've got a lot of "junk in the trunk" the biggest problem you'll have is getting the "junk" rearranged enough to get you low in the seat. Good luck, try the test seats, and even if you don't think you can get it closed, if you can deal with the embarrasment, try asking an employee. I ended up doing that. I wanted to see the dueling dragons queue and when I asked if there was a way out without riding he rankled my pride by implying that I was too chicken to ride that I actually admitted that I was too fat to ride. He was awesome enough to prove me me wrong.

Ok, I admit it. I did not expect to be reading about "knockers" on this board. :thumbsup2
