Do you think my 75 year- old mother would enjoy either of the Universal Parks or is MGM a better choice? Thanks

My mil went with us last Sept--she was 67 at the time. She actually rode a couple of ride. I think there are probably more shows and sitting type stuff at US than IOA so she might have more fun there.

Barreeeee!

Please ignore the previous post... :p

I see lots of "Grandmas and Grandpas" at the parks with their grandchildren. In fact, Loews has a special promotion for them going on right now: CLICK HERE

Is she easily tired? You might consider getting her the mobile scooters that they rent per day. Believe me, they're even good for people half her age.

And good for you for taking her!

Thanks for the answers. One thing I should have clarified is that this is an all adult trip so I don't have to worry about keeping any kids happy. My Mom, sisters, and I are staying at
Boarkwalk Villas. We are doing EPCOT and one other park. I am looking for a park with some rides and shows for my Mother. I know what is at MGM but am unfamiliar with of the Universal.

It depends on many factors. Does she have any medical conditions that might interfere? Can she handle some bumpiness with rides? Are big explosions and gun shots too much? Keep those questions in mind, as they will help you debate. USF, overall, is a better choice for older people because it's not as rough as IOA. Then again, I once saw an older lady (I'd guess 80s-90s) climb out of the boat at River Adventure. The boat behind her was full of teens and they were cheering her on. I also heard from a Dueling Dragons employee that a grandmother (same age bracket) was with her family and rode Dueling Dragons. The same result there-when she got off, lots of teens/young adults were cheering for her.

Then she should do fine. BTTF is the roughest ride in the park, so she might want to skip that. The rest is up to you. :)
