Just bought my Universal tickets online. We are really looking forward to going in November but was shocked to see that the parks close at 6:00PM. To us thats pretty early.....Is November considered off season for them??

Yep :( Unfortunately, except for the summer and spring break seasons (and I think maybe christmas/new-years) the parks always close around 6-7. And your right...it does seem very early...
Oh well...at least you'll get a chance to explore citywalk before your to tired, or the club-going crowds get to bad.
Maybe make plans to have dinner at one of the citywalk restraunts (I suggest margaritiville :)) after the parks close.

We will also be there in Nov. I was planning what the other person said, hit the restaurants and then home to bed (with 5 yo DS)! I still can't wait to go.

Yeah, Yeah... :hyper: MARGARITAVILLE :cool1:

CityWalk can be really fun if you actually check the stuff out. We just walked past it the first time, but we checked it out this past year and it was pretty cool. It is way too early to close a park.

if you are planning to have dinner in Citywalk, make sure you make a PS in advance. especially when the parks close early.

last night was very rainy and the parks didn't close until 8:00. when we got to Margaritaville at about 8:10, they were already on a 90 minute wait.

I have never been to Universal and am thinking about going July 2007. So does anyone know if there is enough to do for 7-10 days at Universal, Adventure, Wet n Wild Busch Gardens and Sea World? Sorry have no clue so don't laugh!!! lol!!! Kids are bored of Disney so thought I would try that any advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!! :confused3

Yes, I think you will find plenty to do. It's refreshing to see people who look at other things besides Disney for a change.

You should have plenty to keep you busy.....btw, glad to see you got a DD out of your DH after all those boys..... :faint: (you're braver than me!)

if you're getting the 5 park Flexticket and going to BG, spend a night over here. you can break up the parks with a day at the beach.

Thanks all!!! Just needed someone to tell me that there is more to Orlando than Disney, don't get me wrong it is great but....

Bubba's mom...LOL!!!! thanks but sometimes 5 more boys may have been easier!!!!LOL!!!

Ya know, a lot of moms say that...especially my late DMIL...she had 2 girls then 2 boys (DH is oldest boy--3rd out of 4 kids)....she ALWAYS said she'd rather had 4 boys..... :rotfl: what IS it with those girls anyway??? :confused3

Amity....thanks, Yes the beach is in our plans for this trip!!! We went July 05 & July 06 to Disney stayed in the resorts and it was great!! BUT my sons are 15 & 16(oh sorry 17 now) and they were bored this year!!! So I decided like we did many years ago stay off site and do other things too. I know you can do other things when you stay in the park but WE DIDN'T!!! So I have Comfort Suites Maingate East booked (as of right now) for $80.99 a night sleeps 6, fridge, microwave and cont breakfast (not big breakfast eaters) so good for us. I thought we would get the 5 park flexticket and go shopping and to the beach that shud fill our time???? :cheer2:

Bubba's mom....Oh yes plenty of people with 1 of each warned me stick with your 5 boys, you don't want a girl....they are.....well I got alot of different descriptions of girls....we are defenatley a different breed!!!! LOL!!! :confused3

GOOD IDEA!!! I could actually spend months at a time there and not get bored. I'm actually planning on doing just that in the next few years, right now have to settle for shorter trips. Just being there is so magical and there are tons of things to do. 7-10 days you probably would not run out of things to do if you count the different restaurants etc. The only thing I would suggest is work in about 2 days at Cocoa Beach, just about 45 minute drive. Do the Holiday Inn on the beach there, above average, but great location, beach bar and prices for an on the beach hotel. Also, Cocoa has some great nightlife if your into that. But so does Citywalk at U.

don't forget if you buy the 5 park Flexticket, you get a complimentary shuttle to BG from different points around the parks. if you don't want to drive, and use their gas. if you're planning on visiting the Gulf beaches, you wouldn't need it, but it's a nice service.
