What constitutes the start date of the year's pass? Is it date of issue or date of first use?

Julie

As far as I can remember it was from date of first use - we managed to get the two years for the price of one using the Burger King offer a couple of years back.

yes it's definitely the first day of use - we are buying Annual Passes for our 2 trips next year and I wrote to Universal for confirmation.

Just renewed two annual passes for $213 on line, you keep your pass and it is reset for another 12 months

Sounds good value - just not sure whether to commit to APs. DS is just 16 and says the next trip will be his last with us!

Although I think he said the same about the last trip!

I think I know the answer already but when you renew does it carry on from the renewal date or when the pass is activated.
I only ask because I am going with with the wife and 2 kids in August but we are thinking of going without the kids for a week in April. There is probably no point renewing the kids pass if they start straight away.
