We are going to Universal this summer and I am trying to find the cheapest ticket options. We are going to stay onsite to get FOTL. I am doing some math and wanted to see how much an annual pass would cost. I only see passes for florida residents? Is this the case?

renewal for the preferred annual pass is $149 plus tax.

i renewed my pap last month.

I'd love some information too but it's along the general lines and didn't see the need to start a new thread -

It may seem like a dumb question but are the annual passes valid for an entire year from the day you buy them or do they expire on Dec 31st?

I guess it's a two fold question really - I'm travelling in October and the following May so would the passes become valid once you activate them or are they in use from the day you buy them? I've a feeling I didn't explain that very wll but I can't think of a way to word it better.

Obviously it only becomes financially worthwhile if the power annual pass is available, and it's sucky that it's only available to Florida residents (but good for them of course) but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere there's a way around it? Or was that just a magical dream?

The non-resident Preferred AP is $229.99 + tax.

The AP is good from the activation date...not purchase date. You could purchase it now but not activate it until October. Your year would start in October.
