We have finally booked for this August!!!!!!!!!!

This is the first time we are going indirect (via Washington) and wondered if anyone had experiance of doing this?!

How long did it take you to connect? Do you have to collect your luggage?

Also I cant find out if we get a baggage allowance, and do infants get baggage allowances?

Any other tips as I am a little nervous about flying with them so want to be super prepared!!!

How long did it take you to connect?

tough question. Somewhere between half an hour to 1 1/2 hours from the time you deplane to the time you're boarding the next plane
There is no way to tell in advance.

Do you have to collect your luggage?

yes.
You'll get through immigration, collect luggages, go through customs and drop your luggages at the conveyor belt for connecting flights past customs
