You're actually buying a real estate interest in your home resort, specifically that % of that unit (which is a building or block of rooms in your home resort).

That fixed interest is represented by points. For all practical purposes, you're buying points. For legal purposes, you're buying a fixed percentage of the actual resort, or more specifically, a fixed term RTU (Right To Use).

You bought a percentage of some piece of whichever DVC property you bought. You can find out which piece, but this will be meaningless in your use of your points.

To record a deed you must buy real estate and points are not real estate, the points only represent the real estate you gave bought. The unit is the real estate and it is one or more rooms depending on the DVC you bought into. So you may own x percent of a grand villa or two one bedrooms.

We walk around each resort and pick out which rock we own.
OP, details like you are looking at will not make a difference concerning use of points, which room you are placed within when making a reservation, or being assigned a room.

The only time your actual Unit will matter is if something happens to it. For example, if there is a fire or a hurricane or a sink hole that happens to damage your particular Unit and if Disney opts not to repair/rebuild it, you (and everyone else who owns part of that Unit) would receive some insurance proceeds and would cease to own that particular contract and would receive no more points from it. If Disney does decide to repair it, you would not be able to use the points tied to that Unit until it was again ready for occupancy.
