Is anyone interested in an exchange that would include anything that is unique to your state or country if International? For example, if you are from Vermont you could send syrup or maple candy or some locally made craft. You get the idea. I know we have a lot of exchanges going right now so I'd wait to start collecting names. I'm just wondering if there is interest out there. What do you think?

I've never done an exchange before, but I might be willing to try this one. Sounds really neat!

Hehehe,
I'm from PA. Hershey's Chocolate and Marshmallow Peeps for everyone. :teeth:

Kathy...please check with Kirby on this one. She's been planning something similar for several months now.

We seem to becoming bombarded with exchanges all of a sudden.....

I am really interested in this one...Tastykakes for everyone!

:sunny: That's easy for me, as it's only me & mine that are from Down Under, so most times what I send is unique to OZ:teeth:

Sounds like fun. I think there are only a couple of us on the board who live in Hawaii.

Kirby are you planning an exchange like this one?

Aprilgail- I'm thinking bagels, knishes, and black and white cookies-- oh yeah, and a good piece of crumb cake! All the things I miss about living on Long Island growing up.

Crumb cake is a NY thing? I know we have the best bagels but to ship a bagel it certainly wouldn't be the best by the time it got where it was going, pizza too, I hate Pizza anywhere but here. I didn't realize Blackand White Cookies were anything special here either....just stuff ya take for granted I guess....

New York has the best bakeries!!!! The best delis too. Oh yeah, the best pizza. New Yorkers know how to eat.

Aprilgail I grew up sorta near you in South Great River (near East Islip). My dad taught in Bay Shore.

Wow!! What a great idea!
I think it sounds fun!

I was thinking of doing one towards the end of April but hadn't definately decided. We had a "Your Part of the World" exchange a couple of years ago and it was interesting to see what everyone received.

You're more than welcome to host this one. I've gotten involved with the Color exchange and will be hosting a color in April and my plans for this kind of exchange were being put on the back burner (don't want to spread myself too thin). I'd love to participate in one though.

I will be hosting a T-Shirt exchange come June-July, so keep an eye out for that. ;)

Well I don't want to intrude if it is something you've already planned. I'm hosting my first exchange now (envelope exchange). It's a lot of work! I had around 60 exchangers. It seems like there are a lot of exchanges right now too.

Hmmm, well, think about it. Keeping track of comings and goings is a lot of work, especially when you have a lot of participants and multiple exchanges. It can keep you hopping at times.

The Color exchange and Letter exchange that I'm hosting next are probably going to overlapp, hence my hesitation to start this kind next month. If I were to do it, it would be postponed to May.

Since this is your first exchange, why don't you get through this one before starting a new one. Let me know what you decide and one of us will host and the other participate. Really, you are not horning in. Exchanges can be lots of fun!

Either way, I think you are right about waiting until May. We have spring break in April and probably a lot of other folks do too. May is a nice time.
