Hey everyone,
I'm new to DISign and have been looking at everyone's stuff but haven't found exactly what I want. My BF and I are planning a trip in December and have finally decided on wearing matching shirts for a couple of days (he told me we could do whatever I wanted because this trip is for me--words I'm sure he will regret soon enough)
Here is my unique need: my father passed away October 2012 and loved Disney. So, this is my first real/big trip since his passing and I want to do something in memory of him. Now, I could easily just put a picture of him from Disney on a shirt, but I often find displays like that can err on the tacky side and are overall not my side. I'm wanting something a little more subtle.
His favorite characters were Goofy, Tigger and Jasmine and he loved the Lion King. Like he took the motto to heart, said it every day and was put into his obituary and other things we have done for him (like a sign from a party and whatnot). He also constantly sang "In the Big Blue World" from Nemo.
So, if anyone can help me come up with a design or even just a tasteful, somewhat subtle idea that honors him for our upcoming trip it would be so greatly appreciated! I do understand it is an odd request as well.
