unique souvenir ideas

Can anyone suggest any interesting souvenir ideas for my upcoming trip? we are going for my husband's 40th birthday and having an adults only trip. hoping to somehow incorporate the 40th anniversary idea in with it. we want to "drink around the world" in Epcot and didn't know if there were coasters or napkins or something for each place we go it that we can frame with photos? looking for inexpensive ideas that will be more special to us.

We had our kids pics "etched into" the glass ornaments. We have it displayed in our living room. I think I got 2 of them for about $80.00. I gave one to may parents. They love it. I think I will get one of all 4 of us this year. It has the year etched onto it also. There were dozens of designs to choose from. It isn't cheap, but it is very unique.

You could do pick a pearl in Japan at Epcot.It would make a nice 40 th anniversary gift of some sort.Neclace ring earrings whatever setting you picked out.Have fun!

The napkins are pretty much the same all over WDW. We have drank around the world at Epcot many times, and there's not a whole lot of souvenir opportunities there- all the drinks are served in disposable plastic cups and there are no coasters.

I have seen many people try on hats and take their photos in them at the different gift shops around the world showcase (viking in Norway, Fez in Morocco, etc.). Most of the countries have unique hats for sale. Could make for a fun photo collage when you get home.

We have picked up a nice piece of Disney art in Art of Disney that speaks to us. Maybe you could pick a print and have it colored then signed by the artist. You can also do your own art at the art class at the Art Institute(forget the name) at DHS. I would pack a couple of empty paper towel rolls so you can roll them up and keep them safe until you get home. They do different characters all day long and it is free. You could frame them side by side as a momento of the trip.

You could also get an ornament personalized at the beginning of your trip then pick it up later.

You could get an autograph book and have your bartender sign it (if they are willing) with the country at each place you stop and see if they will write happy 40th birthday in their native language or maybe notate what you drank. Get a photo at each place and you could paste it opposite of the signature page.

Or have them sign 4x6 cards to frame with your photos. It would be cool if you took a picture of the sign of the restaurant or the two of you with your drinks and then framed it with the "autograph" card.
