Hi,
I had originally applied, was accepted and was prepared to leave for the Spring Advantage 2005 season, as a Vacation Planner. However a couple weeks later I had a medical issue that required surgery,, and I had to cancel my acceptance through my recruiter.

Fast Forward to this month,, where I applied, and interviewed for a Spring Advantage 2011 CP. I just received an email at 5pm saying I have a restricted/no-rehire status and to fill out the form for reemployment.

I filled it out and emailed back the recruiter who emailed me the forms, but she was already gone for the day. Do you think my chances for a re-hire will generally be good? Is the fact that I was asked to even fill out the paperwork a good sign?

Thanks

If you didn't do well in your interview, they wouldn't waste their time or your time with the paperwork.

Based on your message, it sounds like you never actually even started working. You were offered and accepted for the Spring Advantage program but cancelled before even arriving in Florida. If that's the case, it is odd that you would even have a restricted or no rehire status since you technically weren't ever hired (thats what happens on checkin day with all the paperwork).

That's what confused me too. On the appeal form, it asked for a work area and supervisor,, and I put unknown,,, and where it asked to explain why you would want to work for Disney again,, I explained that I was never even in Florida, and didn't realize I was ever even considered a Disney employee.

The recruiter got back to me today,, and said that I still have to go to the Appeals Board to get the restricted status lifted off my file,, but it could take 6 weeks..

I guess you are right,, if they started checking my file only 3 days after my interview,, I wonder if I hit the interview spot on...

YAY! I was trying to figure out what happened if you never went through Traditions, glad it worked out!
