Unique counter service meals?

where are some of the more different counter service places around Disney?? A place that has some different items other than the basic burgers and fries?? Thanks for any and all responses.

The counter service place in Morocco (Epcot) is great. They have chicken and lamb platters with couscous and some other interesting sides.

I second Morocco... Tangierine Cafe is what it's called. It's so good!
Sunshine Seasons in Epcot has some different fare too, sandwiches, asian, salads, flatbreads.

A lot of the countries in Epcot offer different dishes. You can get fish and chips in UK, cheese plate and pastries in France...

Ribs at Flame Tree BBQ in AK and someplace in the MK I dunno where though.. Cosmic Rays maybe?

I think some of the different resorts offer some different things... I think POFQ offers some kinda creole type dishes (I think), Pop Century you can get fried chicken or a sloppy joe.

AK is great for CS.

For MK, cosmic rays has the family meal, but the rest is burgers/fries. THere is the little place right by PotC, but its open only seasonally.

We LOVE the counter service in Norway. The Kringla Bakery has awesome, awesome, AWESOME sandwiches (we especially love the salmon and egg) and soup. The dessert selection is also to die for.

I definitely vote this the number one unique and tasty!

Sunshine Seasons in the Land and Tangeriene Cafe in Morocco both are in Epcot. WPE in DTD has amazing food too

Artists Palette at SSR has really good flatbreads, sandwiches (turkey & brie is very good), different salads and lots of fruit.

Boardwalk Bakery has good Paninis (3 types), also has breakfast paninis

At Epcot - Cantina De San Angel in Mexico; Lotus Blossum Cafe in China; Tangierine Cafe in Morroco; Yorkshire County Fish Shop in United Kingdom.

At AK - Yak & Yeti Counter Service; Flame Tree Barbeque

At DS - ABC Commissary

At MK - Columbia Harbour House

My favorite counter service meal is the salmon at Sunshine Seasons, you get to pick two sides and the mashed potatoes and salad are the perfect accompaniments IMO.

I also love that hot italian sandwich at Pizzafari, and the half anchors aweigh sandwich with clam chowder at Columbia Harbour House.

I think you can find something other than burgers and fries at just about all of the CS restaurants... I know I've never had a burger in WDW.

I agree with Cantina de San Angel...I'm a picky eater, but that's my favorite for a burger and fry break. Pizzafari at AK is also good.
