We are going on a non-Fantasmic night, and will have dinner at 6pm at Raglan Road. The crowd is projected to be 1.1, so I don't know if I'm worried about getting there for rope drop!

I'm not excited about H&V for breakfast, and really don't like the lunch menu. We are on DxDP, and a CS won't kill us, as we're using 90% of our credits at TS. Our kids (4&6) won't get Sci Fi, and I don't like the idea of not sitting facing each other. :confused3 Brown Derby is a meh for us

So, Mama Melrose or 50's prime time? Or, eat breakfast elsewhere, come a little late (10ish) and grab a snack/CS during the day? What would be a close resort to eat breakfast at?

I agree. We almost never eat at Hollywood Studios. The Brown Derby is nice, but we don't go there every trip. I don't think that anything else is very good, and we've been to all of the a la carte table service restaurants there.

For breakfast, I think that Kouzzina at the Boardwalk is great. Since you don't mind missing rope drop, I recommend considering it. There's a good mix of unique items and standard fare there, and if you're in to that kind of thing, their bloody Marys are perfect.

I dont understand why your kids wont "get" Sci Fi thou? Is it the movies they might not like? There are tables at Sci Fi you can request. It still looks like your in a car, kinda. Its pretty neat. This way you can be facing eachother. This is a very fun place for kids. Plus they just came out with a new menu!

Although I have to admit, 50's does have better food. And the antics are hilarious. I'd pick this place. You will have fun. The decore is neat too.

Other than that, you have the option of going to the boardwalk and eating at kouzzina or beaches and cream. ....I still prefer 50's prime thou.

I know the choices for TS & QS at HS completely suck, I totally agree with you there.

We are at MM in June and it was pretty good. Not great but good and filling.

The steak was very good at MM and my kids liked their choices. Cheese pizza and Chicken Parm (for my now "adult" daughter).

Our thoughts and pictures are here if you want to take a look. :)

I would suggest either 50's PTC for an early lunch (has been a must-do for me since it opened) or if you'd rather do breakfast I would suggest Cape May at BC (a character buffet with Minnie, Donald and Goofy that is much more relaxed than other character buffets).

SciFi is one that my kids ALWAYS pick. Food is good if you stick with burgers and fries or onion rings - don't try to go out of the box on this one. We've been there when the kids were 3 & 4, 4 & 5 and then again last year when they were 7 & 8.

I wouldn't write it off...especially since you have kids that are elementary school age...tons of fun old clips for them to watch, and the car is the best in their eyes. We like to sit the kids in the front as drivers, and DH and I get a quiet meal behind them. Get them set up when the food comes, and then enjoy!

Cape May at the Beach Club seems to get good reviews for breakfast, so that might be a (fairly) close option for breakfast. It would be about a 15 or 20 minute walk over to DHS at an adult pace (so, with the kids in strollers or on shoulders), and, of course, longer if the kids were walking.

Where are you staying? Is there a TS option at your resort you could use? You may even be able to get breakfast early enough there to still make rope drop at DHS.

My 4yo had a great time at 50's PT and we enjoyed the food very much. We got the sampler platter and milkshakes.
