Unforgiveable???

I agree. When you are in the middle, of losing someone you love, you can't think clearly. I'm sure, she is just mad at the world right now. Hang in there...she will come around!;)

Oh, I started to cry reading your post. My father, just prior to his 80th birthday passed away after having suffered a massive stroke a few months prior (this just happened a few months ago so I am still very tearful over it - hence the tears when I read your post). Just wanted you to know that speaking from this perspective your friend just needs time and is more focused on her father's situation than what you did. Honestly, everything that happened in the months between the stroke and his death was a blur for me. Clearly you are an awesome, caring friend - everyone makes mistakes, just be patient and forgive yourself.

Take care.

Oh no. So sorry for your situation. I'm sure your friend will understand even if she is upset right now...Definitely forgivable.

I asked my DH to tell his parents when my grandmother passed away. He misunderstood what I asked of him and did not tell them. They read about it in the paper!! They were shocked and when they came to the wake they told me they wouldn't have known if they hadn't read it in the paper...they know their son well so they weren't upset with me or him, but they were just glad they didn't miss the wake!! It's almost comical now, but when it happened everyone was pretty upset...

Hang in there!
