This story is so funny I laugh every time I think about it!
We were having dinner at Chef Mickey's on July 20th. It was DH, me, 2 dds, and ds. We had just about finished our meal (kids were still picking at desserts) and DH had just asked for the check.
I heard this wierd noise and a plop! We looked in amazement - a pigeon and flown in to Chef Mickeys, hit something, hit DH's head, and leaded squarely in the center of our table! Even the tables next to us had their mouths hanging open.
The bird just laid there, it wasn't dead just stunned I think. Nobody knew what to do - our waitress came over and said Oh My Goodness. A man at the table next to ours came over and wrapped the bird in a napking and gave it to the waitress. We were all so stunned.
Pretty soon a manager came flying over to our table to make sure everyone was okay. We told him we were fine just in shock! Of course he took our bill away and said this one's on the house. We didn't ask for it, but it was a nice gesture.
This is one of those stories that will be repeated for years to come - remember when the pigeon hit daddy in the head at Chef Mickey's! The manager said birds sometimes get into the CR because of the openings for the monorail. So if you are dining at Chef Mickeys keep an eye out for unexpected guests!
