Unexpected Famous Stars On Disney Cruise

First, I sailed with my group on Disney Magic back on April 2012 and we encountered Micah Williams, a teen star for Disney Channel. Now, just last week, we met Geraldo Rivera with his daughter on Disney Dream for the New Year's eve with my group - how amazing is that???

It seems like our group get star-struck every time we get on the ship and met someone famous.

Have you met any famous star while you were on Disney cruise???

In April 2012 we sailed with Marlee Matlin on the Dream 5 night over Easter. Ran in to her only once waiting for the tram on Castaway heading to the cabanas.

On our past cruises we've apparently sailed with Ty Treadway and a real Saudi Arabian Princess.

We sailed on the Magic with Stuart Scott from ESPN years ago.. He was tore up singing Karoake one night.. It was hilarious!

We were just on dream (NYE cruise) and saw Geraldo Rivera. I didn't believe that we saw him til we got home and I googled it and he had twittered before we left about heading to a disney cruise with his in laws.

We were on The Fantasy in May and Dan and Laura Dotson (the auctioneer husband and wife team from Storage Wars) were on board .

Wife and I did a quick visit to WDW last Febuary and ran into Debby Ryan ("Jessie" on the Disney Channel) at the Boardwalk.

I guess it depends how you define celebrity. Other than Geraldo and Tom from AFHV I have never heard of any of these folks.

Annie Potts was reportedly on our Magic cruise, never saw her.

When we cruised NCL in the 1980's they had celebrity entertainers, folk you would see on the Tonight show or Letterman. They stayed on for the whole week and hung out with folks. The Fifth Dimension, Norm Crosby, Jack Jones, and Shields and Yarnell were on board those cruises and did shows. And they always had a sports celebrity on board, Moses Malone on one cruise, and some guy named Nixon who played in the NFL. Of course, I bet I'm showing my age with these.

Jim Furyk plays on the PGA tour. My husband owns a chain of golf stores sol he knew him immediately.
