Has anyone ever gone on this tour?

We are thinking about going on it as part of our premium package we have booked for Sept, so I wanted some opinions.

Last year we went on the Keys to the Kingdom tour and really enjoyed it but wanted to try something different this year.

Thanks in advance!! :cool1:

I did this tour in Feb. It was an excellent adventure, although long. The tour ran from 9am until 1:30, with a 20minute break at 11:30.
You are taken behind the scenes, into the computer control room of Mission Space, under the track of Test Track, up into one of the VIP lounges. Lots of interesting tidbits of information given out, and gift of a great pin for taking the tour.
YOu will not regret taking this, IMO a better tour than Keys of the Kingdom.

Have fun :cool1:

Thank you so much for your response!

We thought the keys to the kingdom tour was great but also a little long, they included lunch with it though which was nice.....I know this tour doesn't include lunch so I have a feeling we will be running to eat after it is done!!

Thanks again!

Thanks for the information also. We, too, are thinking of doing this one in May. We did Keys, and did Wild by design last year. Both were good. I think cdntourguide convinced me that it's something we would enjoy. We love the behind the scenes of the different parks.

Do you do any of the rides?

I just got off the phone booking this tour for Sept.

The other tours we can do with the package are:
Mickey's Magical Milestones
Disneys Family Magic
Magic behind our steam trains
Keys to the Kingdom (we already did this one)
Wild by Design
Backstage Safari
Gardens of the World
Hidden Treasures of World Showcase

We are two adults me (30) and mom (65) any suggestions on the other tours??

Thanks

We did KTTK last May and were thinking about doing Undiscovered Future World this May, but I've heard a lot of bad and so/so reviews on it so we decided not too. But now I'm not so sure :confused3 I wonder if they will include anything from the Land pavillion/soarin' once that re-opens.

:Pinkbounc wanted to bump this up for any more thoughts on the tours!

We have taken the Hidden Treasures of the World Showcase tour and really enjoyed it. We were very lucky though, because there was just three people on the tour - me, DH and one other lady who wanted something to do while her husband was at a convention. It felt like our own personal tour!
I've read many mixed reviews on the Undiscovered Tour, but we have still decided that we'll be taking this one on our next tour.
We REALLY enjoyed the all-day Backstage Magic Tour, but of course, that is not offered as a package option.

I would love to take the Backstage Magic Tour, I think I know why it isn't offered, isn't is around $200.00??

We are only going for a long weekend, but I thought we might try to squeeze in one more tour, this is our 10th trip so we have gone on all the rides, so if we miss some we won't be disapointed.

Out of the tours included in your plan, we've done KTTK, Hidden Treasures, and Backstage Safari. We enjoyed all of them. We learned a lot in Hidden Treasures and it really enabled us to enjoy WS more. Before we'd just zip through, now we enjoy strolling along and taking our time.

Backstage Safari was our favorite out of those 3 tours - we've taken it twice. We love animals, and we thought it was really neat to get to go backstage at AK. Highlights for us were touching a rhino and going on Kilimanjaro Safari with the tape turned off and our tour guide pointing out little facts about it.

HTH:)

We've done the Gardens of World Showcase, but that was a number of years ago...really loved it. Happened to be the only 2 people on the tour that day and ended up with a CM from our home state as our guide. It was great. DH also did Magic Behind our Steam Trains and loved it. He's interested in trains/railroading and found it fascinating. Especially liked seeing the behind the scenes area where they store the trains and monorails. We've also done the full day tour in the past and I think that was the best of all, worth every penny, especially for someone who has been to WDW many times. ::MinnieMo

Yes, this tour is $199. BUT....it's actually the best bargain of all the tours. First of all, it's an all day (7+ hour) tour, and it's the only tour that doesn't require park admission. So you get to spend the day in the parks without using a day on your tickets, which is a big savings in itself. Second, you get a wonderful, all you can eat, sit down lunch in MGM - deeeelicious. Bus transportation is provided from park to park, but it's not the WDW transportation busses - they are luxury coaches. You will receive free bottles of water and also a trading pin at the end of the tour. Well, worth the $. It's a deluxe tour and a much better bargain than the other tours that are offered.

Wow, sounds nice!
Since we won't have enough time for it this time, if it is still being offered the next time we go, I think we will try that one!
Thanks!! :flower:

I'd like to hear more about the Family Magic Tour. Worth it? What's involved? Thanks.

bumping up for any other thoughts?

I booked my 1st ever tour for next month-Hidden Treasures of WS. I am very excited about it. WS is my favorite part of all of WDW, so I know I'm going to love it. I made PS for Alfredo's for right after the tour.

We're on the Platinum Plan for the first week of June and have decided to do a ton of the Tours as scheduled....

Wednesday, June 1
Dolphins in Depth:
Epcot

Thursday, June 2
Gardens of the World:
Epcot

Friday, June 3
Segway Tour:
Epcot

AND

Epcot Seas Aqua Tour:
Epcot

Saturday, June 4
Disney’s Behind the Magic of Our Steam Trains:
Magic Kingdom

Sunday, June 5
Keys to the Kingdom:
Magic Kingdom

Monday, June 6
Backstage Safari:
Animal Kingdom

On previous trips I have done the Backstage Magic Tour and Segway Tour and Backstage Safari. As you can see, Segway and Backstage Safari are worth second trips. Backstage Magic is great, but too long if you have limited time or other things to try.
